I wasn’t totally sure I’d use the subscription all that much, but yeah, I actually do. The local stories are the big thing for me, especially town updates and the high school sports coverage.
The price seems fair compared to a bunch of other online things I’m already paying for. Most days there’s at least something I end up clicking on or finding useful, so it doesn’t feel wasted.
The site can be kinda busy and a little much sometimes, but it’s not a dealbreaker. Overall I’m happy with it and it feels like a good value for what I need.

"Still my go-to for local updates, even if I compare elsewhere"
I check nj.com almost every day for local news, and most of the time the stories feel accurate and on point. I’ve always had a soft spot for a couple of other local news sources too, so I do catch myself comparing coverage, but nj.com usually wins when I need quick updates. When something is happening nearby, they’re often one of the first places I look.

"Helpful when I’m trying to keep up with Jersey news"
I usually check New Jersey Local News in the mornings, especially when I’m feeling mentally drained and just want a quick way to see what’s happening around my town and nearby counties. The local stories are easy to find, and they cover a lot of things I’d probably miss otherwise.
Not every article is amazing, but overall it does the job and helps me stay updated without having to dig around too much. It’s a useful site if you want to keep up with Jersey news

I’ve actually been liking the nj.com newsletter more than I thought I would. I usually skim it in the morning while I’m drinking coffee and trying to remember where I put my keys, and it’s quick enough that it doesn’t feel like a chore. The local stories are useful, the subject lines usually make it clear what I’m clicking on, and there isn’t a ton of random junk stuffed in there. It keeps me updated without making me dig around the whole site myself, which I appreciate

Just a heads up for anyone using this: the notifications are a little hit or miss. Some alerts are genuinely useful and worth paying attention to, but others feel kind of random and not that important. I’d suggest taking a few minutes to adjust your notification settings so you’re only getting the ones that actually matter to you...

I check it often for Rutgers and Giants updates, and it’s nice to have that local coverage in one place. It usually gives me what I’m looking for, though I do wish the updates were a little more detailed or faster sometimes...

The login works every time for me, which is the main thing I care about. It’s quick and doesn’t give me any trouble. That said, there’s not much else to say, it feels a little plain and could maybe use a more polished experience

I’ve noticed the comment sections stay fairly clean, which I really appreciate. I’m usually a bit cautious about where I spend time online because things can get messy fast, but the mods seem to stay on top of it and keep the vibe safe and manageable.

I use nj.com often now, i kind of regret not making it my go-to earlier. The site is easy to get around, the sections are simple to find, and pages usually load without any hassle for me. I mostly use it for local news, and I can get to what I need quickly. Overall, it’s been a solid experience.

"Search gets the job done, but it can be annoying"
I’m on nj.com often, the search can put me in a mood sometimes. It works, but it feels kind of clunky. I’ll be looking for something recent and a bunch of older articles show up first, and the filters don’t always make things much better. I usually find what I need eventually, but it’s not exactly a smooth ride.

"Missed paper, but they fixed it quick"
My paper didn’t show up one morning, which was annoying because, the paper just didn’t show up and I had no idea what happened. I messaged nj.com about the missing delivery, and luckily they got back to me fast. By the next day it was sorted out. I was frustrated about the delivery issue, but it was nice to actually deal with a real person and not get the usual runaround.

"I had a question about my account..."
I had a question about my account and figured I’d get bounced around or given some vague copy-paste answer. To my surprise, support replied quickly and actually addressed the main thing I needed. Part of me wondered if they were just trying to keep things smooth so I wouldn’t make a bigger issue out of it, but either way, it worked. They didn’t make it complicated, and it was nice to get a quick response for once.

I like the paper when it actually makes it to my door, but yeah, delivery is hit or miss. Some mornings it shows up late, and other times it just doesn’t come at all. Customer service has helped me a few times, I guess, but they’re not always very quick about it
